1 Aug 2009  Kinglea Plants Testimonial
Kinglea Plants Ltd, started using Atwell Labellers 8 months ago, after hearing about them at the PPMA exhibition in Birmingham. Within this short space of time, they have worked with us on a number of projects, to increase the efficiency of our labelling requirements.

Kinglea Plants Ltd, is a supplier of plants to the multiples and many Garden Centres throughout the UK. Our customers have very different labelling requirements and changes to these requirements, must be enforced within days rather than weeks.

Atwell Labellers, were one of many companies asked to come in and provide solutions to our labelling needs. With their quick response and positive attitude, they stood out from the crowd and are now our main labelling company. Turnaround times are very important to us and our customers and Atwell labellers share this same attitude, from project conception to installation can be a matter of days. This is partly due to not over complicating projects and knowing what is realistically achievable and was is not. We as a company need machines to work first time and not to be adding extras on for a few weeks afterwards, we like to know that a job will be completed properly first time round and that is what Atwells provide. The Atwells staff are not just salesmen, but have engineering backgrounds, so they understand the ‘nuts and bolts’ of projects, which reduces lead times and shortens the communication channels.

Overall, Atwell Labellers are a welcome addition to the Kinglea supply base, because they share the view that our customers come first and deadlines have to be met and expectations need to be exceeded, not just met

28 Jul 2009  Tamper Evident Labelling Atwell Style.
Atwell Self Adhesive Labellers are pleased to announce that they have recently supplied “Bendicks of Mayfair” & “Ashbury Chocolates Limited” with automatic Front & Back labelling systems.
The labelling systems are primarily to be used for applying tamper evident labels to a selection of various sized boxes containing luxury chocolates such as Elizabeth Shaw, Tesco Finest, M&S Selection and Gordon Ramsay Belgian chocolates.

Each labelling system incorporated two of Atwell’s AL2-120S programmable stepper driven label heads mounted either side of a bespoke slat belt conveyor fitted with a motorised head gripper and pneumatic wipe down mechanism, systems were handed to suit the customers existing layout and available space.

The high speed systems were designed to be positioned either in-line as part of the main production line or to be used off-line by operator’s hand feeding the product after filling and lidding, running at up to 100 packs per minute dependant on the size of the product being labelled.

In order for the labels to be applied correctly and accurately each label head was fitted with one of Atwell’s adjustable micro-switch label detect cells, as all the tamper evident labels being applied were clear plastic, this meant further cost savings for the customers as the labels used were able to be produced without printing a registration mark on the backing paper.

As part of the complete service packaged offered, Atwell Self Adhesive Labellers not only supplied the labelling systems they also supplied further promotional labelling system/s along with a call off facility for the tamper evident labels to be used at both sites.

Atwell Self Adhesive Labellers are proud to continue its association with “Elizabeth Shaw” via “Bendicks of Mayfair” which goes back to the first automatic labelling system supplied to “Elizabeth Shaw” by Atwell’s back in 1992, plus Atwell’s look forward to building new relationships with “Ashbury’s” and all other new customers in the confectionary industry.
